Internal medicine

Specialisation is a trend in all professions, including medicine. However, in the early stages, diseases most frequently will demonstrate zero signs or only non-specific signs and symptoms. It is therefore important to have a general assessment (check-up), which generates a broad overview of the body, including an examination of various organs (ultrasound, bone density measurement, lung function tests, blood analysis) and their interaction with one another. Risk factors differ from person to person. Family medical history is also an important factor. If necessary, it is possible to transfer patients to specialists or to our partner hospital, the Luzerner Kantonsspital, which is the largest central hospital in Switzerland.
