Our goal is to add healthy, enriched years to your life through our holistic programmes, defined by an extensive medical care team with renowned specialists in a variety of medical fields. Extensive scientific collaborations and partnerships with Swiss medical centres allow us always to strive for excellence in our methods, relying heavily on the extraordinary medical infrastructure featured at the Waldhotel. Screening for risk factors and early signs of disease also includes procedures such as ultrasound (e.g. of the abdomen), analysis of bone density and body composition (DEXA), pulmonary function tests and plethysmography, chest x-ray, ECG and stress tests. In the Waldhotel, modern medical technology is employed as part of our various programmes but testing and treatment regimes can also be individually tailored. A broad range of blood and urine tests is available at the state-of-the-art laboratory in the Waldhotel: analysis of white and red blood cells, platelets, liver and kidney function tests, tests for various electrolytes, glucose, lipids, vitamins, hormones, inflammation markers and cancer, toxins (lead, copper, molybdenum, etc.) or antibodies against certain viruses or tissues (autoimmune disorders). We collaborate with specialised labs which perform genetic tests, blood cultures, etc. Some of these tests are included in our programmes while others can be ordered as required.
