The 'Month of Art' is taking place in the Waldhotel for the third year in a row. This time, the internationally renowned artist Daniela Wicki exhibits her paintings in the corridors of the hotel. Strong colors, large-scale art and the associated power harmonize perfectly with the Waldhotel.
The Peru-born Swiss artist Daniela Wicki started with classical painting as a teenager, but then decided to pursue a successful career as a lawyer and entrepreneur, which led her to New York, among other places. The energy of the world metropolis and the Museum of Modern Art triggered a strong creative reaction. So she found her way back to art and decided to devote herself to painting full-time. In 1995 she returned to her country of birth, where she studied and worked with contemporary Peruvian artists. Just two years later her path led her again to the United States. This time she was based in Miami and dedicated herself to multimedia art.
In the course of her career, Daniela has had numerous successful exhibitions at national and international level that have been celebrated by critics. Her artworks are also present in well-known collections and her artistic work is widely recognized.
